Paul Button

Paul M Button - Owner, Founder and MD

Paul has an Analytical Chemistry degree from the University of Wales, holds a City and Guilds in Quality Assurance, is a Licentiate of the Royal Society of Chemistry and is a certified J&J six sigma black belt.

 

He has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry including the position of Lean Design Manager for a green-field £100 million healthcare production plant. He has experience of Process Excellence engagements in a diverse client setting including the areas of; Blood Production and Supply chain, Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Haemophilia and Thrombosis Clinics, Operating Theatres, Dermatology Clinics, Heart Transplantation Centre, Photophoresis Clinics and Bone Marrow Transplantation. Paul is passionate about implementing transformational changes in healthcare and is equipped with a team of first class Associate consultants with a variety of experiences from both industry and healthcare.


 

 


Hans Klein

Hans Klein, PhD – Associate Consultant

Hans has a Doctorate in Microbiology and Genetics from University Erlangen, Germany. He brings more than a decade of experience in the biochemistry and pharmaceutical arenas to ProcEx Solutions.

 

Working at several pharmaceutical companies in Germany, he gained insight into the operations of German hospitals and blood banks as well as the German market. Hans has experience in Laboratory automation systems where he has analysed numerous different systems and successfully trained sales teams in this arena.

 

Hans is a strong advocate in Total Value Selling and believes that the ProcEx Solutions approach of analyzing working processes and implementing improvements throughout hospitals, while also delivering knowledge transfer to the customer, is extremely effective.


 

 


Kevin Davenport

Kevin M Davenport – Associate Consultant

Kevin is a quality/process engineer who is a fellow of the institute of medical laboratory sciences. He was the first European certified Six Sigma master black belt (MBB) in Johnson & Johnson. In the role as a MBB, Kevin delivered over £3 Million saving in the first year. He has successfully trained over 100 black and green belts and has mentored more than 50 belts through their projects to corporate certification.

 

Kevin has eleven years working experience in the UK NHS within clinical chemistry laboratories and thirteen years working as a process and quality engineer in the medical device industry. Kevin has a wealth of experience in delivery of continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean. He is a transformational change agent working in the healthcare arena providing support to teams of clinical staff to understand change management and improvement methodologies.


 

 


Mark Youngson

Mark Youngson – Associate Consultant

Mark gained a First Class Honours Degree in Physics from Bristol University and has over 20 years of business consulting experience working for Accenture, Cap Gemini, KPMG, Philips Electronics, Schlumberger and Youngson Consulting, his own business. During this time, Mark has both designed and implemented a number of computerised planning systems that have brought about major supply chain improvements and he has worked with the ideas of Lean manufacturing and Total Quality Management to produce major cost savings.

 

He has also completed a major Technology Transfer Project for the Welsh Office, creating conceptual designs that showed how the benefits of implementing the latest manufacturing technologies and techniques could be realised by 15 widely differing companies. Mark's passion relates to creatively thinking through, designing and implementing new and better processes.


 

 


Julie Button

Julie A. Button, RGN (retired) - Director and Process Consultant

Julie was a UK state Registered nurse (now retired) and has worked in numerous medical fields within the UK’s National Health Service. She has a wealth of experience in community district nursing, obstetrics and gynaecology, occupational health, endoscopy and general practice nursing.

 

Julie was a senior nurse specialist in the area of tuberculosis where she led a very dynamic and busy clinic serving a large intake of ethnic minority patients.

 

Julie gained her formal nursing qualifications from the University of Wales in 1980 and has followed a structured training and events program ever since. She has experience as a process consultant involved in the implementation of process excellence in the areas of Cardiology, Oncology, Dermatology, Haematology and Blood Production and Supply.
